Two objections usually surface here.
One, “I already have other books.” Then you already know information does not install law.
Two, “I will do it later.” Later is where momentum goes to die.
If you are done paying for drift, install the standard and live by it.
What you forfeit if you delay
Delay does not look like collapse. It looks like being capable, busy, and quietly overexposed. It looks like tolerating what you would correct in anyone you were mentoring. Romans 8:19 speaks of creation groaning for the revealing of mature sons, not gifted people, but governed rulers.
Time and throne dignity
A year rarely collapses, it slips. You keep almost enforcing standards, almost finishing, almost launching. The damage is not scandal, it is erosion: slower execution, softer boundaries, lower expectation. Your calendar fills, but your outcomes stay uneven.
Nervous system and protection
When your life has no enforced law, your body pays the bill. Sleep becomes light. Peace becomes conditional. You carry battles you were never assigned because access remained cheap.
